Muhammad Shahmeer is a 15 year old student studying at a Cadet College in Pakistan. He is a beginner poet with a vast imagination wanting to share his ideas and writings with the world. His inspirations in poetry are Rudyard Kipling and John Keats. Besides poetry he enjoys playing sports like Squash, Football and Basketball. Other than that he is very much interested in Physics and Astronomy. He writes his poetries on various aspects of life.
A Loved One
Your memory is what holds me tight
Provides me with the strength to fight
Against all odds and days I face
Your every word helps me enlight
You being with me has kept me sane
I’ve been able to endure all pain
As long as you are there for me
I know this toil won’t be in vain
I strive my best with you in mind
Another like you, I can’t find
I’ve travelled over lands and seas
But You are one of a kind
In the end I would like to pray
Forever in my life you stay
This love for you will never end
I beg you, Please don’t drift away
