Amplifying young people's voices around the world.
OnlyFans and young people: exploitation or empowerment?
OnlyFans was founded in 2016 as a new way for online creators to monetize their content. Over the past year, the site has rapidly grown in popularity, in no small part due to the changes in the employment landscape following government responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. OnlyFans has shot to the forefront of user-generated, pornographic content, and, as with any large platforms that host adult content, there is a variety of opinions about the possible impacts it may have on young people and society as a whole.
At VoiceBox, we are passionate about amplifying the voices of young people which are ignored all to often. With this in mind, we have partnered with Parent Zone to share the honest views of young people on our platform, and across the internet, on OnlyFans and it's place in the digital landscape.
