VoiceBox peer-led workshops are designed by young people for young people. Our carefully selected presenters deliver all sessions virtually or in-person, supporting attendees to feel confident in their digital literacy, creativity and mental wellbeing.

Misinformation and Disinformation
This workshop explores the challenges young people face in identifying and addressing online misinformation and disinformation. Participants learn how to distinguish between the two, recognise scams and biased language, and verify information from multiple sources. The session also examines emerging issues - such as deepfake images and videos - and helps to build practical media literacy skills, allowing students to feel confident navigating the digital world.
Understanding AI Chatbots
This workshop gives students a basic background artificial intelligence and explores how it shows up in their daily lives. We explore the nuances of AI, looking at creativity, productivity, bias and emotional over-reliance. We also look at how AI is built into many of the platforms and services participants may already be using. The workshop is non-directive, and instead empowers participants to consider how they can engage with AI responsibly and thoughtfully, understanding both the risks and opportunities it poses.
Sharing Your Voice Creatively
This workshop helps participants to develop their voice in a way that feels right for them. Through writing, art, poetry or other creative forms, participants consider what matters most to them and how to communicate this effectively. The workshop also involves practical advice and support, alongside the encouragement to express themselves in their own style.
If participants are interested, presenters can support them to submit their work to VoiceBox's own platform, allowing them to share their creations with our community of other young voices. It's a relaxed, fun and creative space designed to celebrate participants' unique perspectives and give them the confidence to share them.
